That's not going to happen here! We blast the music, without sacrificing the technique. We know you want killer cardio, and we believe that it shouldn't come at the expense of real skill. You'll learn all the fundamentals and applications of western boxing and traditional kickboxing from Thailand. All of our coaches are directly qualified under the founder of Muay Thai in Ameria.

Have you been trying to burn calories by running up and down the hills in Lake Oswego? You might be happy to know that Muay Thai burns between 800-1000 calories per hour!

Don't take our word for it:

Laura from Portland said "I will not be going back to 24 hour fitness anytime soon." In two months she's lost over 20 lbs! So it makes sense that Brandie in Tigard mentioned "I feel like I lose a pound every time I show up." You just have to show up and we'll do the rest. It's no wonder that Victoria in Lake Oswego raves "I can't say enough good things about this place! Great coaches, amazing classes and real results!" People are coming together and getting it done at The Source Academy. Finally Patrick writes "This is  a place with integrity and class."

This is real Muay Thai...

In 1968 Grandmaster (founder) Sirachai "Chai" Sirisute began teaching traditional Thai Boxing in the United States. GM Chai was a professional fighter with over 150 matches by his late teens. This wasn't uncommon for a Thai fighter at the time, some beginning as early as 4 years old could have upwards of 200 or more bouts. GM Chai then desired to come to America and spread the art, laying the ground work for modern kick boxing in the United States.
With the help of his closest friend, Guro Dan Inosanto, the foundation for Thai Boxing was born. GM Chai has continued to teach to this day and has provided over 40 years of instruction to literally thousands of people around the world. In the current century Thai Boxing has gained popularity as a workout and as a core component of the UFC. We are grateful to "Ss Sadajarn" (grandmaster) Chai for the gift of Muay Thai.
